Public Investment Fund (PIF)

This interview was conducted by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), the Saudi Arabian sovereign wealth fund. The interview asks the candidate to evaluate a potential buyout of an asset in the cyber security sector with the ultimate goal of determining whether the asset poses an attractive investment opportunity to pursue.

In addition to the interview prompt, the candidate is provided with three documents outlining the asset’s financials.

The candidate is expected to prepare two outputs:

  • 1) An investment memo which outlines the asset’s business, investment highlights & risks, valuation analyses and the candidate’s ultimate investment recommendation
  • 2) A completed model which includes an operating model, valuation model (DCF & trading comps analysis), LBO model, and relevant returns sensitivity analyses
