Permira Interview

This interview conducted by Permira asks the candidate to evaluate a potential buyout of an asset that manufacturers and sell consumer goods.

In addition to the interview prompt, the candidate is provided with a management presentation that outlines the asset’s business model, product portfolio, competitive landscape, management team, financial performance and growth opportunities. 

The candidate is expected to prepare two outputs:

  • 1) An investment memo which outlines the candidates perspective on the asset, relevant projected return metrics, a summary of key credit risks and potential risk mitigants, and topics that may require further diligence
  • 2) A model which includes revenue, EBITDA and other key cash flow items as well as debt schedules and relevant credit statistics
