Permira Interview

This interview conducted by Permira asks the candidate to evaluate a potential public-to-private buyout of an asset in the media and entertainment sector. As part of the interview, the candidate is expected to assess relevant market dynamics, the assets business prospects and potential transaction returns based on a LBO model. 

In addition to the interview prompt, the candidate is provided with two documents:

  • 1) Equity research covering the asset
  • 2) A model template

The candidate is expected to prepare two outputs:

  • 1) A completed LBO model based on the provided template
  • 2) Responses to a list of questions

Following completion of these outputs, the candidate is expected to present their findings and rationale before finally participating in a Q&A session.
