Marlin Equity Interview

This interview conducted by Marlin Equity asks the candidate to model the buyout of a technology asset that sells software to customer in the healthcare industry.

In addition to the interview prompt, the candidate is provided with the asset’s financials which include a income statement, as well as working capital, capital expenditure, and relevant SaaS metrics (e.g., MRR, LTV, CAC, etc.).

The candidate is expected to build an LBO model based on transaction assumption outlined in the interview prompt. After completing the model, the candidate is expected to discuss the case study with the interviewer and outline their purchase price recommendation, leverage assumptions, operating model and returns profile.
