HIG Interview

This LBO model test was conducted by HIG as part of its on-cycle recruiting process. The assessment asks the candidate to model a potential buyout of an asset in the consumer sector. 

The candidate is provided with two documents: 

  • 1) An interview prompt which outlines the asset's operating drivers and relevant transaction assumptions
  • 2) The asset’s financials

 The candidate is expected to prepare a three-statement LBO model which includes a variety of challenging modeling quirks such as management options, mandatory amortization, PIK debt, case functionality, contingent seller notes, and more. This is a challenging LBO model test. 

This interview includes solutions. Please note that the “With Solutions” option must be selected to receive these solutions.
