GIC Interview

This case study interview was conducted by GIC in 2022. The interview asks the candidate to evaluate an investment opportunity in a global transport conglomerate with the ultimate goal of deciding whether the asset could support a sound investment thesis. 

 In addition to the interview prompt, the candidate is provided with three documents:

  • 1) The asset's financials
  • 2) A management presentation
  • 3) A model template

The candidate is expected to prepare two outputs:

  • 1) An investment memo which provides the candidates investment recommendation, transaction risks and potential risk mitigants, a perspective on the assets valuation, & topics that merit additional due diligence
  • 2) A completed LBO model based on the template provided as well as any supporting analysis for metrics and key takeaways shown in the memo
