Five Arrows Interview

This take-home case study conducted by Five Arrows asks the candidate to evaluate an asset that manufactures and supplies products used in landscaping, with the ultimate goal of determining whether the asset would be a suitable target for an LBO. 

In addition to the interview prompt, the candidate is provided with a series of exhibits including:

  • Three sell-side equity research reports
  • News clippings relating to the asset
  • Details regarding the assets public stock (e.g., shares outstanding, market capitalization, etc.)
  • An excel containing the historical performance of the asset's stock price
  • The asset’s financials across eight reporting periods

The candidate is expected to prepare two outputs:

  • 1) An LBO model
  • 2) Responses to a series of questions which outline the candidates investment recommendation, proposed entry valuation, prospective return profile, and topics for further due diligence
