CVC Interview

This interview conducted by CVC asks the candidate to evaluate an asset in the Pet & Pet Care industry, with the ultimate goal of deciding whether the asset would be an attractive LBO candidate.

In addition to the interview prompt, the candidate is provided with two documents:

• 1) A management presentation which provides an overview of the industry, the asset’s business model, and growth strategy
• 2) The asset’s financials and a blank model template 

The candidate is expected to produce two outputs:

• 1) An Investment memo outlining the asset’s business, relative merits and risks, valuation approach and the candidate’s ultimate investment recommendation
• 2) A completed LBO model based on a set of transactions assumption with projected returns, sensitivity analysis for key value drivers (e.g., entry and exit multiples, leverage, growth and margin expansion) 

Following completion of these outputs, the candidate is expected to present their findings and associated rationale before finally participating in a Q&A session.
