Corten Capital Interview

This interview conducted by Corten Capital asks the candidate to prepare for an upcoming meeting with the management team of an asset in the Technology & Business Services sector that the fund is considering investing in, with the ultimate goal of determining whether the fund should pursue an investment.

 In addition to the interview prompt the candidate is provided with three documents:

  • 1) A management presentation
  • 2) The asset’s financials
  • 3) Relevant valuation metrics

The candidate is expected to prepare two outputs:

  • 1) A model outlining the transaction and associated returns based on a set of transaction assumption outlined in the prompt
  • 2) An investment memo which outlines the asset’s business model, the relative merits and risk of the deal, thoughts on management’s proposed valuation and suggested area for further diligence.
