Centre Lane Partners Interview

This interview conducted by Centre Lane Partners asks the candidate to consider a buyout of an asset in the kitchen appliances industry with the ultimate goal of deciding whether the asset would be an attractive LBO candidate. 

In addition to the interview prompt, the candidate is provided with three exhibits:

  • 1) A management presentation that outlines the asset’s product portfolio, business operations, growth opportunities and financial performance
  • 2) The asset’s historical balance sheet
  • 3) The asset’s projected financials 

The candidate is expected to product two outputs:

  • 1) A 3 statement LBO model which models out the acquisition of the asset and includes a base and upside case
  • 2) An investment memo which provides an overview of the asset, the investment merits & risks, and the candidates ultimate investment recommendation
