Carlyle Interview

This model test conducted by Carlyle asks the candidate to model out a Public-To-Private LBO of an asset in the healthcare industry. The interview asks the candidate to build a three-statement LBO model.  

In addition to the interview prompt, the candidate is provided with a snapshot of the asset’s financials. Based on these financials and a set of transaction assumptions outlined in the prompt, the candidate is expected to produce a three-statement LBO model which include sources & uses table, purchase price calculations, valuation calculations, exit valuation analysis, and IRR sensitivity analysis. The model is expected to include several modeling quirks including (but not limited to) mandatory amortization, management fees, interest on cash, and more.
